1、電解液容器要用瓷器或大玻璃瓶，禁止使用鐵、銅、鋅等金屬容器，嚴禁把蒸餾水倒入硫酸內，以防引起爆炸。

在柴油發電機組進行充電的時候還會遇到充不進電的問題，那么又該如何解決呢？出現這種問題有可能是保險絲或整流二極管損壞所造成的。當保險絲燒斷后，充電機電源指示燈不亮；整流二極管損壞后，充電機的電源指示燈亮，但無直流電輸出。

排除故障的方法就是：斷開充電機與蓄電池的連接線，用萬用表直流電壓擋（50V）測試充電機兩個輸出接線柱間的電壓，注意紅表筆接充電機的正極，黑表筆接負極，發現無電壓輸出。拆下充電機外殼，對充電保險芯子進行檢查，發現60A的保險芯子燒壞。更換后，充電機恢復正常充電，故障即被排除。
