試驗時參照燃機電氣保護裝置技術文件，對定值單的內容逐項進行核對，設置保護模塊中機組發電機各側的CT變比、PT變比、電流電壓值及各種保護參數。

調試時用繼電保護測試儀對保護模塊進行相應的模擬故障試驗，使保護可靠動作，檢查各插件面板指示燈動作及出口繼電器輸出情況，用萬用表在端子排查該保護的所有跳閘出口接點動作是否正確，外部有連鎖的接點檢查連鎖動作情況。
